Unhappy Camper

Apartment dwellers, do you appreciate the care/concern/compliance taking place when the maintenance staff at your apartment complex come into your home to install a required carbon monoxide detector (or insert any other needed repair or service here)? Today, this happened in my current home. And I’m all for that detector being here now.

However. I do NOT appreciate the fact that they did not re-lock my front door when they left sometime between 9 a.m. when I went to work, and 8:45 p.m. when I got home. No. No, I do not. This camper is NOT happy.

I know the place is messy and disheveled as I’m packing, purging, simplifying. Stuff in here may be less than fancy and new. I haven’t amassed a jewelry or art collection worthy of the Queen. My TV is 15 years old if it’s a day and I have only the one. But it’s MY less than fancy, not new stuff. And this camper not happy.

You betcha I’ll be contacting the leasing office in the morning.

Nothing happened, nothing is missing, there were no monsters in the closets when I got home. But there could have been. Renters, take care. And, now that I went through my entire apartment and checked every nook and crany, I’m good.

Thank you. Good day.

Carry on.

Glad everything was still there, but had it happened to me I would have been raging in the manager’s office tonight! Yikes!
