Back to The Grindstone

It’s always a bit of a downer coming home from a trip. More so since I fell more than a bit in love with of the place I visited, but alas, vacations must come to an end.

I’m happily reunited with my pups and they’re pretty happy to be back with me, as well. But now I must get back to “work.” Which, for me, is actually looking for work… Let the new round of applications begin!

Another thing I’ve begun to do is a serious house Spring cleaning. Yes, I am aware it is not Spring… but, I have the time and the need to do it. Those of you who know me personally will know this is a serious undertaking, and will be a work in progress for a while, but I am inspired and ready to make a difference in here. Some progress has already been made. It is time.

Tonight, I leave you with another photo from my trip. This is the restaurant in Annapolis where we had lunch. The building, like so many others, is one of the original buildings in the area, and the current restaurant owners kept many of the details. I only wish I had been able to explore what was behind that door.

The wall up above the main dining room of the restaurant where we had lunch in Annapolis. The building was established in 1830 and this brickwork and door are original.

I already miss the area, the architecture, the history of it all. So, I’ll be back.

Carry on.
