New day here in Oregon. It will be interesting to see where things go. I’ve come to feel that this change might be the right thing. Who knows (yet) what the results of the investigation into our former governor’s (and his fiance’s) actions will uncover, but I do think now that with whatever has gone on previously, he would not be able to be an effective leader for our state right now. My thoughts on that statement are namely that with the intense scrutiny on him and on his fiance, the questions about alleged actions, the investigations, the distractions, are too much in the way.
I wish him well. He’s done good things in the past.
Just learned that Jerome Kersey, former Trail Blazer, passed away today at the age of 52. Even I know who he is, which is something since I’m not originally from Oregon and didn’t pay much attention to the Trail Blazers until I moved here in 1998. It’s not yet known what caused his passing. What a sad thing to learn of. “Mercy, Mercy, Jerome Kersey!” Rest peacefully, sir.
OK, Oregon, let’s take a breath, regroup, get our bearings, and…
